What is a Gangway?

A Gangway is the equipment used to help a person get into and out of a ship or boat. The gangway is a smooth and sloping ramp for passengers or cargo to enter or exit the ship.

Residential Gangways

Enhance your dock space with our attractive aluminum residential gangways designed for comfort and convenience. This gangway is ideal for residential applications as it is easy to transport and the handrails removable. The proprietary shaped handrail is more comfortable and easier to grab than generic tube handrails that are more standard on some of our competitors’ gangways. Textured aluminum decking and chicken strips help provide sure footing even when wet. Attachment end includes a full-length hinge and the opposite end is built with rollers and an angled transition plate.

Commercial Gangways

Get a rugged marine aluminum commercial gangway for high traffic docks, the non-skid aluminum and chicken strips help ensure you and your guests have solid footing and stability. The proprietary handrail shape is more comfortable and easier to hold than generic round tubing handrails. Manufactured with structural aluminum components, these gangways are made for strength and durability. The mounting end has a full-length hinge, the opposite uses built-in rollers, and these commercial gangways have two full-length handrails. An optional exit ramp with wear pad is also available.

ADA Approved

Accessibility is available on the waterfront! These gangways manufactured to American Disabilities Act standards for safety and ease of use. Two handrails with proprietary shape are easier to use than competitors’’ generic tubing handrails. Additionally, grab bars are installed inside these handrails at a lower height for wheelchair use. Full length kick plate installed on both sides at the base for safety to prevent sliding off the edge. Anti-skid aluminum decking and chicken strips help prevent slippage. A full-length hinge is attached at one end and rollers with an included exit ramp at the opposite end. Manufactured from structural aluminum components for strength and durability.
