Boat Lift Motors, Choosing the Right One

As boat lift motors go, there are several types to choose from. Depending on several factors, you’ll want to brush up on your knowledge of them.  Even if you are not the person installing your boat lift motor, it’s good to know the capabilities as well as limitations of your new boat lift motor.  Here at Boat Lift Warehouse we specialize in many areas related to watercraft and want to be sure you choose the right product. If at any time you have unanswered questions about which way to go, reach out to us – we are here to serve you. Need an estimate? Click here.

The first category we’ll cover is Pre-Wired Motors. Just as you may have suspected, this topic is just as it sounds.  We take the guesswork out of “which wire goes where?” and pre-wire them before shipment. We carry tried and time-tested brands that we stand behind, such as AO Smith, Leeson, Elite, Marathon, and Tide Tamer. Here’s a link to a good example, which is the Elite. Most come with a variety of options to consider, such as horsepower – which we can help you with if you need assistance.

Next up, we have footed motors, which are one of our most popular boat lift motors. We believe that to be so because we’ve become known for our customer service and quality product lines.  This Elite Footed Motor is available in ¾, 1 and 1.5 horsepower. With a little geometry, any of these will get the job done & we’re happy to help you with figuring out which is best.  AO Smith is another quality boat lift motor we carry, which is on sale depending on the model. Up to bat now is the C-Face boat lift motor. We carry this type in 3 variations, and we guarantee it will get the job done. Some are standard steel, and some have stainless steel components to withstand harsher cold weather or more salty and wet conditions.  It really just depends on your location and what you want to accomplish within your budget.
